St. Vineet High School

In 1947, Dr. A.G. Pereira, Retired Medical Officer opened a High School in Kaniyapuram in his 5 acres of land. Later the School was handed over to Bishop of Trivandrum. Till 1972, the School admitted only boys students. When Smt. Charlotte Amma become Head mistress, She admitted both boys and Girls from 1973 onwards after favourable verdict from the Supreme Court.

Jyoti Nilayam Higher Secondary School

Jyoti Nilayam H.S.S was started in 1972 by Ursuline Sisters, when Rev. Sr. Aloysia was their provincial. At first, L.K.G. classes were started in Beena House in front of our Church. The parish contributed on 10,000 in cash and 2 acres of land in kind to the convent.

St. Xavier's College

St. Xavier's College was started in 1964 near southern border at our parish. Many of our Parishioners handed out their land at cheap rates to Jesuit Society for the College. Please click here to visit their official website.

St. Andrew's U.P.S

St. Andrew's U.P.S was started on 1921 by an Individual management. In 1949-50 an U.P. School was started in Chirathope as St. Antony’s U.P. School. When the Manager of St. Antony’s U.P.S had gone to U.R on 1950-51 the management had taken by our church and it was renamed as St. Andrew’s U.P.S. Later this school was affiliated to Trivandrum Diocese and shifted to near Kadinamkulam Panchayat Office. In 1952, the above U.P School Joined with our L.P. School and became St. Andrew’s U.P. School.

The old school building was demolished in 1999 and the present double storied building was blessed by Rev. Dr. Soosapakiam, Bishop of Trivandrum on 12-7-1999 at the time of Rev. Fr. Jerome Alphonse, Parish Priest. We are collecting more information about the above institutions and will publish it soon.
